Recently, Colorbar collaborated with Jacqueline Fernandez for the Colorbar X Jacqueline collection. The brand sent over the whole collection and here’s my review of the Colorbar X Jacqueline Sinful Matte Lipcolor.
About The Product
“Matte that is so rich, so silky, and so bold–it is practically sinful. Every stroke gives you a powerful blast of long-lasting colour and a luxurious matte finish. Infused with sea fennel wax, Colorbar X Jacqueline Sinful Matte Lipcolor leaves an ultra-soft touch on your lips. Matte really shouldn’t be this addictive.“

Packaging: Is This Colorbar Sinful Matte Lipcolor As Luxe As The Price Claims?
Colorbar knows their packaging game. These Colorbar X Jacqueline Sinful Matte Lipcolors were packed in an outer cardboard box with Jacqueline Fernandez’s image and signature. Even the lipstick bullet is engraved with Colorbar’s logo and tiny lips which makes it even more quirky.
Jacqueline is a glamourous celebrity and the small detail that they have incorporated in this collaboration truly makes the user feel the luxe-ness of this range.
But I do have to mention that their original Sinful Matte Lipcolor range has a similar packaging, and the formula is the same. So I wonder if people are paying an extra Rs.99 for the celebrity collaboration?
Pigmentation & Formula
These lipsticks are super pigmented, have a powder-matte finish and give an opaque swatch in one swipe. It glides on very easily and does not emphasize any texture. The formula is very lightweight, and it sets after a few minutes so it does not transfer into your mask.
Shades & Swatches
This Colorbar X Jacqueline Sinful Matte Lipcolor has 4 shades, ranging from mauve, pink, nude and red. All the shades are suitable for Indian skin tone. But I do feel the shade Hickey might wash out people with deeper skin tones.
Hickey: It’s a burnt orange nude shade
Foreplay: A mauve-purple shade
Dirty Rose: It’s a rosey-pink shade
Mistress: It’s a true red with blue undertones. (Dupe of Smashbox Bawse)
Longevity:
These lipsticks last for almost 6-8 hours and do transfer ever so slightly. It does not smudge at all.
Final Verdict:
Starting with the packaging. It’s looks and feels very luxe but the outer cardboard box does take up a lot of space. For a normal consumer, it might not be a lot but for a beauty blogger like me, I am always on the hunt for more space to keep my products so the packaging takes up a lot of space. But on the brighter side, the magnetized cap makes it very travel-friendly.
Moving to the formula, hands-down it’s at par with MAC lipsticks. The price totally justifies the formula. It glides on smoothly, sets instantly and feels very comfortable to wear. But it does transfer slightly like other bullet lipsticks, so I’d recommend that you blot it with a tissue and apply a bit of loose powder to make it more long-lasting.
Compared to the PAC Matte Mischief Lipstick and Kay Beauty Matte Drama Lipstick, the formula of the Colorbar X Jacqueline Sinful Matte Lipcolor lean more towards the Kay Beauty lipsticks. The PAC lipsticks are a bit more lightweight than the Colorbar ones.
Overall, I am highly impressed with these lipsticks and I’d recommend them to everyone who has the budget to buy it.
