Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Constellation Palette Review
Packaging:
Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Constellation Eyeshadow Palette is housed in a pretty tin box packaging which is a bit bulky, to be honest, but very secure. You also get a full-sized good quality mirror with it so it does make it easy to carry around.
I totally loved the galaxy-inspired front packaging which is quite beautiful. This tin box packaging reminds me of the watercolor boxes that we used to use during our school days. This eyeshadow does not come with brushes.
The Color Story!
The Constellation palette is a fun palette with some really pretty colors on it. It somewhat reminds me of Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera Palette. I loved the fact that this palette has pretty purples, blues, pinks. silvers and golds to play with. But I do feel that few shades are repetitive.
The Shades & Swatches
I’ve swatched all the shades twice with no primer underneath. Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Constellation Eyeshadow Palette contains 18 eyeshadows – 10 shimmers and 8 mattes. Some shades are pressed pigments as well. You will see a variety of different colors to play over here.
First Row
Mars: A cool-toned burgundy matte shade (Pressed Pigment)
Night Sky: An icy dark blue shimmer shade
Saturn: A shimmer turquoise shade
Spiral: A shimmer light purple
Jupiter: Matte pinky red
Celestial: It is a soft peach shimmer shade
2nd Row
Solar: A soft gold shimmer
Cluster: A super pigmented silver creamy shimmer
Venus: A Fuschia pink matte shade Stains your eyelids. (Pressed Pigment)
Neptune: a dark royal blue shimmer shade
Universal: A dark chocolate brown matte shade (Pressed Pigment)
Harp: A champaign textured shade with glitter particles. (Also present in Makeup Revolution Velvet Rose Palette)
3rd Row
Asteroid: A pale beige shade with cool undertones (Very sheer coverage)
Retrograde: A light mauve matte shade
Mercury: A silver shimmer shade with purple undertones
Cosmic: A dark matte purple shade which surprisingly blends well.
Fractal: An icy silver shimmer shade.
Dimension: A pink duo-chrome shimmer shade with purple refects
The Pigmentation:
All the shades are pigmented except Asteroid, Retrograde, and Cosmic which works better with an eyeshadow primer underneath. The shimmers in this palette are extraordinary. They are super pigmented and buttery works well with both brush and finger. You don’t need to wet the brush in order to get maximum intensity.
I found the mattes to be equally pigmented but few shades are chalky. A few shades have a lot of fallout though. So, I’d suggest that you do your eye makeup first. There’s even a duo-chrome shade -Dimension, which is my favorite shade.
Eye Makeup Look Using Revolution Forever Flawless Constellation Palette
I’ve used the shade Cosmic on my crease and blended it with the shade, Venus. I found that Cosmic shows better pigmentation with an eye shadow base underneath. I did not face a hard time blending as these shades blended easily. Then I’ve cut the crease with my Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer and applied the shade Saturn on the eyelid. Then lastly blended the edges with Cosmic again.
My Final Thoughts On This Palette
I absolutely loved the quality of this palette. I definitely love the pigmentation of the shimmers more than the mattes. The mattes are super pigmented as well but the darker shades can lead to a bit of a fallout. I found these shadows to perform better with an eyeshadow primer. So, I’d recommend that you use an Eyeshadow primer/base underneath for maximum pigmentation.
The mattes blended out very easily. The shimmers work well with brushes as well as fingers. The darker shimmers were more blingy and buttery, but the lighter shimmers like Solar and Celestial were more muted down. This palette even consists of an overall shade Asteroid which can be used to set the eyeshadow base. The shadows are very buildable, they don’t become patchy at all.
If you are searching for an eyeshadow palette that contains bright colors as well as neutral tones, then you should definitely give this palette a go. You can definitely create golden-brown smokey eyes with Harp, Universal, and Solar. But I feel two shades were repetitive. Night Sky and Neptune may look a tad bit different but are similar shades, so was Cluster and Mercury.
This palette screams Night time look to me. It has those shades that you can rock to any night club or party. I don’t reach out a lot to this palette but if you can rock the smokey eyes and the purples in the day time, then you do you, babe!
What I don’t like about this palette is that it give off too much fallout. So, tap off the excess always. The shade Venus stains your skin, so remove it with a
Lastly, it does not contain any parabens and Makeup Revolution is a cruelty-free brand.
Do I Recommend it?
Absolutely Yes. The forever flawless range by Makeup Revolution is a steal and their quality is very good. If you don’t mind fallout then you can get this palette.
