Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is one of the most popular pressed powder. It has been one of the best selling Rimmel product which is most of the time ‘out of stock’. Recently Nykaa was having a 50% off sale on Rimmel products, that’s when I grabbed the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 004 Sandstorm and Rimmel lasting finish by kate moss (107) & lasting finish lipstick (077 Asia). If you have oily skin, then you must try Rimmel stay matte powder! Want to know more? Here’s my experience of this ‘Beauty Guru’s favorite affordable pressed powder’.

PACKAGING:
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder comes in a beige color round pan packaging. It has a transparent lid which contains a few details about the product. This pressed powder lacks an applicator and also a mirror. Overall, it feels very fragile and is not travel-friendly at all.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT:
I have combination skin with an oily T-Zone. During this hot Summer, I sweat a lot, and to keep my oily T Zone at bay seems quite a task for me. This powder did help mattify my skin. It is a great powder for setting your foundation or bb cream into place as it blurs your pore. But you must keep in mind that it does enhance dry patches on your skin.
I found that this powder does instantly mattify your skin but you need to touch up after about 4 hours.
COVERAGE, BLENDABLITY & TEXTURE:
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder gives a sheer coverage. It is very blendable. This powder has a smooth texture and contains few flexes of fine shimmer particles. These shimmer particles do not make you look shimmery at all. It gives a nice sheen to your face.
SHADE & SWATCH:
Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder is available in 8 shades. I’ve picked up the shade ‘004 Sandstorm’ which has yellow undertones to it. 004 Sandstorm is suitable for fair-to-medium skin tones. It looks quite light on the pan but after application, it matches my skin perfectly.
STAYING POWER:
This powder stays for about 4 hours straight. After that, you’ll definitely need to touch up here and there. I’m not very impressed with the staying power, but I can’t complain much. For an Rs.250 product, it does do its job pretty well.
Is Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder Sandstorm a dupe of Sephora 8 hr Matte Compact Powder?
I feel like the texture of Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder is very similar to the Sephora 8 hr Matte Compact Powder. Both of them are mattifying and have the same consistency.
FINAL VERDICT:
If you are looking for an affordable compact powder which is mattifying and blurs out your pores, then Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder is the right option. I do recommend this compact powder.
It helps to control your oils and shines and gives an even finish. This compact even blurs out your imperfections and does not make you look cakey at all. It does not make your face powdery. Let’s look into the pros and cons, shall we?
